Expanding Our Mission: From Fairest Love Shrine to Fairest Love Family Project

To better reflect the work we’re doing to build up families and spread devotion to Mary, Mother of Fairest Love, we are changing our name from Fairest Love Shrine to Fairest Love Family Project. This change represents an expansion of our mission and a renewed commitment to equipping families with the spiritual resources, formation, and encouragement they need in today’s challenging world.
As you may know, St Josemaria Escriva wanted a Shrine in North America dedicated to Mary, Mother of Fairest Love, as a way to help the family everywhere. While our initial plan centered on building the Shrine, we are now focusing our efforts on projects that meet the immediate needs of families. This shift does not signal a departure from our original mission but rather an opportunity to grow and respond dynamically to the pressing needs of Catholic families today. Our efforts will keep alive in everyone’s hearts and minds the dream to build the Shrine in another generation or two.
Why the Name Change?
The change to Fairest Love Family Project reflects a broader, more actionable focus on family formation and devotion to Our Lady. Here’s how this shift allows us to better serve families:
- A Broader Vision for Supporting Families
- We are focusing our efforts on building a retreat center designed for family and personal formation in Chino Hills, CA.
- Our focus remains on creating spaces and resources that promote devotion to Mary, Mother of Fairest Love, while directly addressing the challenges families face today.
- We want families in the United States and throughout the world to see Mary, Mother of Fairest Love, as the go-to intercessor for all their family needs.
- Immediate Impact Through Formation
- We aim to strengthen families through practical resources, including our weekly blog posts, podcasts (like Fairest Love and After Cana), online educational content, and eventually in-person workshops and retreats.
- To this end, we’re launching two new podcasts in 2025 – one for single women (Single, Not Stalled) and one for Spanish-speaking couples (Dos Seran Uno). We’re also beginning to organize a quarterly online speaker series which should launch in the next couple of months.
- These initiatives allow us to meet families where they are in the US and around the world, providing tools to deepen their faith and grow in love.
- A Retreat Center for Spiritual Growth
- On our 114-acre property in Southern California, we are planning a retreat center. This space will include a chapel housing the beautiful Carrara marble statue of Mary, Mother of Fairest Love, which has been blessed by the Prelate of Opus Dei.
- The retreat center will serve as a hub for family-focused retreats, workshops, and formation programs, offering a serene environment for prayer and spiritual renewal.
Continuing Our Mission of Devotion and Formation
The heart of our mission remains unchanged:
- Promoting Devotion to Mary, Mother of Fairest Love: We continue to share this beautiful devotion, inviting families to turn to Our Lady for her intercession and guidance.
- Strengthening Families: Inspired by the teachings of St. Josemaría Escrivá, we are committed to supporting marriages and families, helping them navigate today’s challenges with faith, hope, and love.
Through the Fairest Love Family Project, we are building on this foundation by creating new opportunities for formation, connection, and growth.
How You Can Help
Your support has always been the cornerstone of our mission. As we embark on this expanded vision, we invite you to join us in building the Fairest Love Family Project:
- Pray for Our Mission: Your prayers for Mary, Mother of Fairest Love’s intercession, as well as the eventual construction of a Shrine, are invaluable as we move forward.
- Share Our Vision: Help us spread the word about this exciting new chapter by sharing our content, podcasts, and resources with your community.
- Support Our Efforts: Your financial contributions will directly impact our ability to build the retreat center and continue offering life-changing resources for families. We are currently in the process of developing the land, so any level of support will bring us closer to breaking ground.
As we move forward with the Fairest Love Family Project, we are filled with hope and excitement about what the future holds. This expanded mission allows us to reach more families, provide more resources, and offer spaces for spiritual growth—all under the loving mantle of Mary, Mother of Fairest Love.
We are grateful for your continued support and partnership in this work. Together, we can build a stronger future for families, one rooted in faith, love, and devotion to Our Lady.
